house of glass

stunned by what I saw,
a house of glass,
so pure,
no single flaw.
A ray of sun kissed its walls,
And I could barely move at all.

I fell in love,
not just a fling,
Scared of the break,
my touch might bring.

I longed to hold,
Let my desire unfold.
Looked,
but froze in place,
Saw innocence, fragility
wrapped,
in angelic grace.

Though a creature,
like me,
Could never step close,
to something,
Compared,

to that kind of beauty.

It would be a shame,
To leave and turn away,
from what calls me.
Enthralled by the magic,
Yet no one else could see.
